Deb LoveDEBORAH LOVE, HOLISTIC RN, NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR

Dr. Deborah Love closed her former company, Health Flow and joined Love The Green in 2008. She realized that the national Green Movement recognized natural health as part of the Green Trend.

Deborah has worked in the medical field for 30 years. She began her career in the military, serving in both active duty and the reserves, as a Nurse and a Master Fitness Trainer. Deb assisted troops who were overweight to meet their weight requirements and to be able to continue to serve. She is certified in Nutritional Therapy through the International Foundation for Nutrition and Health. She is certified Freedom From Smoking Clinic Facilitator through the American Lung Association, and leads workshops to help people stop smoking. She received a bachelor’s degree in Natural Health Studies and a Doctorate in Naturopathy for Health Care Providers through Clayton College of Natural Health (www.ccnh.com ). She is a Traditional Naturopath and a Licensed, Registered Holistic Nurse. She has worked with private clients promoting health, developing personal fitness programs and teaching nutrition for over 15 years. She served on the Buncombe County Environmental Advisory Board as the Medical representative for 2 years. She is an active member of the American Holistic Nurses Association (www.ahna.com ).

Deb has worked in the Hospital Setting, Outpatient Clinics (both Surgical and Medical), and Mental Health Settings.  She has also worked in the GI Lab, Home Health, Hospice, and as a School Nurse.

As a result of her extensive experience as a Nurse, she realized the key to optimum health is prevention. She believes that many “modern day” diseases are preventable with a healthy lifestyle, and attitude. After working in the hospitals, Deborah knew that the hospital is no place for a sick person. Many of the procedures and tests were worse than the actual disease itself. She wished she could’ve helped these patients before they were so sick and assisted them to a better quality of life through education and support instead of giving comfort measures only.  She enjoyed helping individuals become and stay healthy so much that she shifted her focus from saving lives to enhancing lives. She knows that it is the quality of life that matters.

Deb is known to friends and family as a health enthusiast.  She has always had an interest in learning about health and nutrition. Her own health problems lead her to the realization that most issues can be improved by natural approaches. She believes your health is your most valuable asset. Her practice is an educational based and focuses on prevention and improved quality of life.

Deb’s mission is empowering individuals who are willing to take responsibility for their own health. Deb provides numerous educational classes and actively supports individuals in meeting their health goals.
